Design CONCRETE

Design Concrete in West London and surrounding areas.

C7/8 Design Concrete: Due to the lightweight nature of this mix, it should not be used for construction where structural strength is required. Here are some applications C7/8 concrete is suitable for:

  • Kerb backing and bedding
  • Blinding
  • Void filling
  • Drainage works

C10 Design Concrete:  Being a flexible concrete mix,  C10 (also called Gen 1) concrete can be used for a range of applications, including:

  • Agriculture and drainage works
  • Trench filling
  • Step foundations
  • Floor blinding

C15 Design Concrete:  If there is no embedded metal in the floors, this concrete type is perfect. It is especially popular for bare finishes where nothing will be used to cover it.

  • Foundations for small walls
  • Sheds & conservatories
  • Paving
  • Pathways

C20 Design Concrete:  As a lightweight mix,  C20 concrete has the highest cement content of all other individual C mixes. This makes it a versatile mix which is easy to work with across a range of applications.

Most commonly used in domestic construction projects, C20 concrete can be used for many projects, including:

  • Paving, paths and patios
  • Extensions
  • Slabbed foundations, particularly where the ground itself is unstable
  • Shed and garage bases
  • Wall foundations

C25 Design Concrete: Depending on your needs, this concrete can be utilised for flooring or as a mass fill under footings and foundations. Because of its strength it can sometimes be deployed for agricultural purposes.

  • Domestic driveways
  • Patios and garages
  • Bases for houses and extensions
  • Pavements and paving
  • Reinforced hard standings
  • And more!

C30 Design Concrete:  As a lightweight mix, C30 concrete is air-entrained, meaning tiny bubbles are formed in the concrete which boosts its strength and also allows it to withstand the freeze-thaw cycle. This property is an invaluable benefit for heavy use external constructions, such as pavements, as they will not succumb to moisture damage over multiple winters.

With a strength rating of 30 newtons after 28 days, C30  concrete is one of the most reliable and functional mixes available. Some of the applications of this mix are in:

  • Domestic driveways
  • Patios and garages
  • Bases for houses and extensions
  • Pavements and paving
  • Reinforced hard standings
  • And more!

C35 Design Concrete:  With a strength rating of 35 newtons after 28 days, C35 concrete is most commonly used when building heavy-duty pavements and external slabs. This designation of concrete  is much stronger than the C30 and more suitable for heavy duty applications. These can include:

  • Reinforced bases for commercial buildings
  • Heavy-duty external slabs and pavements
  • Reinforced foundations for domestic buildings
  • Light storage areas
    Agricultural building construction
  • and other heavy traffic uses

C40 Design Concrete:  A strong mix, this concrete can be used for construction of foundations where heavy loads or traffic will be present. It can also be used for structural support beams in construction.

  • Paving
  • lHGV parks
  • Septic tank foundations
